Adding BigBand’s video quality monitoring functions, the platform also delivers robust and scalable television services. The Bigband MSP2000 combines powerful media processing with carrier grade networking capabilities. The 12RU rack mountable chassis system is NEBS3 and is composed of 1+1 Switch Control Modules, Network Processing Modules, Video Processing Modules, and Rear I/O Modules. These plug-in modules are accommodated by 12 universal slots. Each system offers up to 200Gbps of fully redundant non-blocking capacity.

Improved video network reliability is realized through comprehensive network and system redundancy options. The MSP2000’s high availability, dual star switching fabric features 1+1 switch redundancy; N+1 video processing module and network processing module redundancy, in addition to a variety of the network-based redundancy configurations including program level redundancy, FEC, and retransmission applications.
