BigBand Discusses Next-Generation Video Delivery At CES

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Jan. 5, 2010— BigBand Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: BBND), a leader in digital video networking, will discuss the delivery of multi-formatted video to all platforms and next generation consumer experiences at the 2010 International CES show this week in Las Vegas, NV. The company will chair a panel at the IEEE Consumer Communications and Networking Conference (CCNC), January 9-12, and participate in a panel at the Digital Hollywood at CES event, January 6-10.
Yaron Raz, Director of Video Solutions Marketing for BigBand, will chair a panel discussion on preparing the network to video delivery to any device on the panel, Delivering Any Video to Any Device: Getting the Network Ready, on January 9th at 5:00 p.m. at the IEEE CCNC. The panel will review the roadmap to attaining a converged video delivery architecture necessary to handle the growing video services today, and will outline the approaches to monetizing multi-formatted content effectively. Panel participants will include executives from TANDBERG Television – Part of the Ericsson Group, CSG Systems, Nokia Research Center, and LightSpeed Venture Partners.
Amy Wang, Senior Manager of Product Marketing for BigBand, will discuss platforms for the next generation consumer experience on the panel, Inventing TV 2.0 - Broadband Enriches Channelized Content - Defining the Set Top Box, Streaming Media Adapter, Downloadable Consumer Experience, on January 9th at 1:30 p.m. at the Digital Hollywood at CES event. Ms. Wang will look at cost effective ways to leverage existing architectures for advanced video services on the next generation TV sets, set-top boxes and interfaces. She will also explore approaches to monetizing content effectively with cementing the consumer relationship.
The 2010 International CES show will be held in January 7-10, 2010, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, in Las Vegas, NV.
